Baskin Robbins Cake

 - by Meghan Wood

Happy birthday to me!! This was suppose to be a Christmas party, but when I showed up, there was a sign on the door that said Christmas was canceled. I had a feeling something was up… I opened my friend’s door to find the next sign that read “Merry Meghan-mas”.  Surprise…. it was my birthday party!!!! Not only did my friends surprise me with a super rad Merry Meghan-mas birthday party they got me an ice cream cake….my FAVORITE!!!!! I became a little preoccupied with telling John (camera man) that it was too loud to shoot me telling the camera how awesome my cake was that…. well…. you’ll see…. (Oh…it went up my nose…not fun!)…and yes…I forgot the ‘e’ on bite…oh well! LOL

Family, A Short Bus, Julia Child, & Jail?

 - by Meghan Wood

I adore my family!!! It was about time I let you see the reason why I am the way I am…LOL. As you can see the apple did not fall far from the tree (and I’m thankful for that). I am not exactly sure why I went on about taking a short bus through a drive thru window… I have never done that. I have been in a limo… and maybe in that moment of ridiculous conversation I was thinking the limo was a short bus. :) One big thing I need to point out is that my sister (who I personally think is just flat out way more awesome than I am…times a million) might possibly disown me for this video. Not only did I catch her in the lue, I posted the video of her when she was on antibiotics and her cheeks were swollen. So… with that being said…. I am proposing a peace offering where I will give my sister my camera for one full day… she will have full rein to catch me at my most embarrassing moments (within certain limits…obviously this is a family show here people). So.. Liza is going to need your help… I’m asking you…all of my hundred of thousands of followers (minus a few hundred thousand… OK… The Meghan Show is growing, so be sure to tell a friend) for suggestions, ideas, comments…. anything. What would you like to see me do? How is Liza going to spend her day getting me back. Will I be dancing in a store blind folded? Trying to clean peoples windows at a stop light? What??? (PS…. getting arrested is not something I need to do before I die!! LOL)

The Contest Night to Remember

 - by Meghan Wood

(Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong below in the video…Steven, you’re killing me?!! :) )
Our night began with a knock on the door from our limo driver…THANK GOD we were actually ready… the girls that is.   As you can see in the beginning of the video I gave a little shout of to all of the AMAZING people that made the night possible. Well, my brain works way way way faster than my mouth… I think that is why I talk so fast. I totally did not realize I jumbled up the words my first go around. Well…after that I kept making everyone count down and then say “action” before I started talking…which would just make me laugh. It is actually making me laugh right now thinking about it…. which is weird because I’m home alone and now I feel like a big dork! HAHAH! Back on track here….  The whole night honestly was nothing but laughs. From my door step to Morton’s Steakhouse I think I scared everyone by attempting to rap like T-Pain (you’ll see that in the video but thankfully not be able to hear me! I thought I rocked “I’m on a boat” with the help of T-Pain iPhone app. Just as I was diving in to my story about how I named my Roomba vacuum Chuy after Chelsea Handler’s little Nugget (yes… I love Chelsea Handler) we arrived at Morton’s where we had one of the best dinners ever. Our server was the cutest most attentive girl and could not have been nicer. The Manager even gave us deserts to go… (HUGE BONUS POINTS IN MY BOOK…as I ate those late night)! Once we got to Sacramento Punchline we were escorted past a long line of people that wrapped around the corner and right to the entrance door and taken to our VIP seats. Honestly… it was non stop fun where the night kept getting better and better!

I (and I know I speak for all of us) again would like to give a big thank you to SacramentoComedy.Com, Morton’s Steakhouse, and the Sacramento Punchline. It truly was A Night to Remember and one I (we) will never forget.

PS: We would be happy to go again any time… I’m sure I can round up a group of fun friends! HEHEHEHE.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE comedy shows! And who does not love Morton’s? And to top it all of… we will be driven around in style all night long??? I will not want this night to end. I will get to take 3 of my closest friends along with me on this rockin’ evening. Needless to say, I was doing the HAPPY DANCE and annoying everyone around when I found out.

So this Saturday I’ll be crusin’ VIP style to Sacramento’s Punchline to see MadTv star, Bobby Lee perform. I’ll be sure to vlog a few good moments and post that next week for you all! Be sure to check out SacramentoComedy.Com for the whole story and all the deets on everything comedy the Sacramento region.

My First Weather Report

 - by Meghan Wood

A main road near my office I just happen to flood allowing me to debut my weather reporting skills. I did not have my Flip, but thankfully I did have my IPhone and was able to report at the scene of the disaster! I obviously am not cut out to be a weather reporter!!! And, as you can see… the passing cars were not enjoying my reporting as much as I was. HAHAH! Perhaps when the next local storm rolls in… I’ll be first on the scene. And this time… I’ll have my foul weather gear ready!

Halloween Party – AKA “Forced Halloween Party 2009″

 - by Meghan Wood

I was somewhat forced into having a Halloween party this year (thank you Morgan and Sierra)… but I have to say I am thankful those lovely friends of mine had they way as it turned out to be one heck of a good time. I wanted to share a few pictures with you all of my hard work… as I spent a lot of time decorating. I should have spent a little more time taking pictures as they do not give justice to how the house actually looked. With the dim lighting, it looked MUCH BETTER than the pictures perceive.  I gave my front room a Twilight theme (Yes… I have a small obsession… but since Morgan and Sierra do as well I thought it was only fitting). I have to give a big shout out to Hostess With The Mostess as that is where I got all my ideas for the Twilight theme. I also now follow her on Twitter. She has a kick ass site!!!

The rest of the house I went with the Evite theme of pink at black. My favorite was the house drink (a little thing we use to make back in college called “The Force”). In true Halloween form we added dry ice and in the video to come you will see that I was quite proud of my libation! LOL!

I do wish I took more pictures of everyone’s costumes… I did a horrible job on camera duty! BAD MEGHAN!

PLEASE!!! share your costume and party ideas!!! I will need some good ideas for next year’s event!!
ENJOY!!

Wedding Slide Show

 - by Meghan Wood

So…since I have completely lagged on posting ANYTHING!! (I’M SO SO SO SORRY!!! I promise I’m in the process of editing a few things… call it a learning curve to greatness. LOL)…. I figured I would share a little wedding madness with you. The photographer (who rocked) put together a sideshow of the pictures he took that day. This all took place in Jamestown, RI (GREATEST PLACE ON EARTH IN MY BOOK). I’m actually editing a wedding outtakes video right now… I just happened to find one of the groomsman’s Flips and ‘borrowed’ all of the videos he took from that long weekend. HAHAH!
It did rain a little the day of the wedding…but that did not stop us from having a blast (and closing down the local bar!!! I did get a free tee-shirt too… a big Thank You to the “Ganny”). You will notice the bridesmaids are in green rain boots. That was an idea we had about an hour before the wedding. I told all the girls to scrap their gold shoes and sent them down the aisle in galoshes… thanks to a dear friend who picked them all up. (Yes.. we made some insane phone calls getting all the right sizes and putting them on hold… it was hysterical!)

Anyhoo… I hope you enjoy… It truly was one hell of a PARTY!!! and I do promise to be getting something new out to you all here soon!

HUGS!
