Vampire vs. Jedi = Pillow Talk?
- by Meghan Wood
Sooooo… I have to share this little moment in my life as while I now find it VERY comical, during this heated conversation I got quite upset. As many of you know (and if you don’t by now, I have a little OBSESSION with vampires! LOL. Ok, yes..I know… so does everyone else. But I seem to think that my obsession is different; somehow special. ♥Edward and I are getting married…however I also have a new found love for both ♥Salvatore brothers♥ (Vampire Diaries)! I actually looked online recently to see if The Vampire Diaries were having casting calls as I felt I am perfect for the show. I had my roll all scripted out and everything. I cannot share that in case I do get on the show and we need to use that material! HAHA! Last but not least… let’s not forget True Blood. Basically I just want to become a vampire (the Hollywood version… not the ones I have researched online….uhh yeah, I’ll admit it…. I spent some time online looking around! LOL). So let’s get to this story already..
I was laying in bed with John and look over at him and say something along the lines that if I were “turned” into a vampire would he want me to turn him too. I expected him to say yes. Without any hesitation he says NO! I was completely shocked and immediately asked what, why not, are you crazy!? We went back and forth for a few minutes about it. I said I would turn him anyhow. He would not have a choice. I would sneak up on him and turn him (oh…. I would be able to walk in the day light too.. and not sparkle… that is kind of annoying). He then tried to tell me he would fight me off. I laugh. How can one fight off a vampire. With a dead serious face he looks at me and says “I’m a Jedi”. WHAT!!! Are you for real!…. wait it gets better… Then I sit up… look right back at him…. I am actually upset right now. I say “John, I’m trying to have a serious conversation. Jedi are not real.” Yup… that is right! You heard me correctly! He burst out laughing. He repeats what I said in a sarcastic tone and then says… really? Vampires are not real either. I obviously have another great line… “they are more real than Jedi. They are basically biblical. They are ancient. Jedi were created in the 70′s.” And while I can see how dumb my comments are now as I type them… I still was sticking to my ground! We actually had a 20 minute conversation after that on who would win a fight between a vampire and a Jedi! (wow… that is a dorky thing to do).
So, as you can see, I seem to believe that “Hollywood” vampires are real. To make matters worse… I actually spent like 10 minutes the next day talking to John about a Jedi vampire. HAHAHA! Think about it… this could be George Lucas’ chance to win the Academy Award.

Meghan = Vampire

John the Jedi
Just think about it…..
The Jedi Vampire!
(Wow… I’m a dork!)

Halloween Party – AKA “Forced Halloween Party 2009″
- by Meghan Wood
I was somewhat forced into having a Halloween party this year (thank you Morgan and Sierra)… but I have to say I am thankful those lovely friends of mine had they way as it turned out to be one heck of a good time. I wanted to share a few pictures with you all of my hard work… as I spent a lot of time decorating. I should have spent a little more time taking pictures as they do not give justice to how the house actually looked. With the dim lighting, it looked MUCH BETTER than the pictures perceive. I gave my front room a Twilight theme (Yes… I have a small obsession… but since Morgan and Sierra do as well I thought it was only fitting). I have to give a big shout out to Hostess With The Mostess as that is where I got all my ideas for the Twilight theme. I also now follow her on Twitter. She has a kick ass site!!!
The rest of the house I went with the Evite theme of pink at black. My favorite was the house drink (a little thing we use to make back in college called “The Force”). In true Halloween form we added dry ice and in the video to come you will see that I was quite proud of my libation! LOL!
I do wish I took more pictures of everyone’s costumes… I did a horrible job on camera duty! BAD MEGHAN!
- How great is Gavin’s costume!!!??? I had to add this one!

Bachelorette – Part Deux
- by Meghan Wood
Every girl I guess needs not one but 2 bachelorette parties. Since my first one was on the east coast it was only fair that my west coast girl friends get to torture me just the same. Without going into all the details I’ll highlight a few of the classic (or should we say classy moments)
- I was giving an outfit to wear and when asked if it was my birthday or bachelorette party I gladly told everyone I was here for the local Sacramento tranny show. I was not even instructed to do that… I just thought it was funny! (and it was as each response was classic)
- We had to “older” gentleman dance together while yelling they were not gay. By far one of the weirdest moments.
- Receiving creative art work on lower back…waking up the next morning to John saying “what is that??? Meghan, what is that on your back? Did someone give you a tramp stamp?” Thank you Colleen for doing it in pen so John was able have a laugh this morning. It was hysterical since I did not remember it was there!
- Meghan Wood’s lessons on love…. PS.. My classes will start this winter if anyone would like to sign up! J
- And after it all I process to update my facebook status via my IPhone while at the Taco Bell drive thru. Really? I don’t even remember doing that. I found it odd coming in to work today with so many comments on my Facebook status. I could not figure out why until I logged into see I did a nice little drunk update! LOL! WOW. All I wrote was “Taco Bell and a veil” LMAO
It was a great night… I cannot say thank you enough to you girls!! Love you, love you, love you!!! I honestly have the bestest friends from coast to coast and am so lucky!! Yes… they did torture me… but it was worth it!

Johnny can you hear me? You’re on fire!
- by Meghan Wood
So the fiancée (yeah… living the engaged life!) intertrupes my tweeting (WTF??) and asked me to help candle his ears. OK, what? This was so random and out of the blue.
SIDE NOTE: For those of you know do not know.. ear candling is when you insert this hollow candle like thingy (that is totally medical term by the way) specially designed to collect wax in your ear and light it on fire. Sounds like fun huh!
So…It was about 10pm and where in the world did he find these things in our house (they were given to us… and I do think they are kind of cool…but not at 10pm when I’m in the middle of something). I light the first one, and the flame is HUGE! I could not remember if I was to let it just flame or blow it out and let it smolder. I blew it out. Bad idea. It is smolder… filling my entire house with SMOKE!!! So I relight and now we have this huge flame in John’s ear. Looks a bit like a very large “doobie” coming out of his head. Comical to say the least. The flame goes down a bit and he sayus he can feel the natural magic happening. (Who knows if this stuff really works by the way… I did read the FHA says it does not, but his Dr. said it did. Who knows). You need to have another person there to cut the ash or it will fall on you as the tube burns down. So I come back to do my first cutting into a bowl of water and a small piece of ask floats away on to his head and shirt! OPPS!!!! I nonchalantly pinch it out and keep my mouth shut. He is oblivious to the whole thing. No burning hair and it just seems to have left a little ash mark on his shirt… not a big deal.
Ok…candle one down. He gets up… goes to the bathroom to take a look and comes back in with this look on his face.. that look like I just got a D on some paper in 6th grade. WHAT! He proceeds to tell me I burned a hole in his shirt! LMAO! I burst out laughing. OMG! I would be lying if I say I felt bad… I didn’t at all. I am hysterically laughing. He fuels my laughter with his next comment. “That is my only white polo”. What? What guy only has one white shirt? Are you kidding!? BABY! So I light his head a blaze with the other ear candle thingy and get online and order 3 $10 polo shirts from Old Navy. I walk back in the room, carefully cut the ash and let him know his wining got him 3 new white shirts and a bag of pampers! HAHA. I’m still laughing now thinking about it. J
