So I was told about a month in advance by my dear friend Jen that I should plan on being ready to do “something” around 4 pm on the day of my birthday yet I was not told what something was. Keep in mind that my birthday is December 22 and it being so close to the holidays, any chance of planning a birthday party are out of the question. I had been telling everyone that we would plan something after the first of the year.

The 22nd of December arrives and I still have no idea what is in store for me. I go to work (dressed in relatively comfy clothes as I was told) and am greeted with an amazing assortment of balloons and a wonderful card from my AWESOME OFFICE! Great way to start the day. So fast forward now (as my day at work rocked) to 3:30. Jen arrives and makes me tie my scarf around my head so I cannot see and get in her car. I’M BLINDFOLDED?

This was not part of the plan but I am going along with it. I’m thinking we are going to get a massage.. maybe go on a hike and get dinner? I have no idea!!!

We drive around a bit and since I have no sense of direction with my eyes open I have no idea where we are going. The car stops and all I can smell is tamales. I instantly think we are at Denaios. I am not sure what we would be doing there but I was sure she has a plan. LOL. I hear rustling in the truck of her car and hope to god she is not going to put me in there. A few minutes go by and I am told I can get out. I get out of her car and realize I am at the Fountains in Roseville and in front of me is a HUGE white stretch hummer limo full of a bunch of my friends ready to go ICE SKATING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes… you read that right… ICE SKATING! As a kid I had the best ice skating birthday parties and it was time to do it up again.  I was completely shocked and surprised. I honestly had no idea. I wish I could even put to words how grateful I am for each and every one of my friends. I truly had the best night. Not only did we ice skate and eat pizza but we went on a Christmas light viewing adventure as well. It was a perfect birthday adventure and I am so thankful to have such loving people in my life!!

Happy 29 & 36 months to me!!!!

Me + Guns – round two!

This time I was shooting a some pretty bad ass guns and my aim was much better. I got to shoot:

• Thompson Submachine Gun .45 Cal (this one was almost 100 years old… from WWII)
• Steyr Aug assault rifle (as seen in video)
• .40 Cal Smith & Wesson Handgun
• M16 rifle

I wanted to give a BIG BIG thank you to my amazing friend who took me out shooting. You seriously MADE MY DAY and I hope you know I will be bribing you to go again. SOOOOOOONNNNNN!

Sooo….. I think I am ready to try out for the next season of Top Shot.

A few of you may know a group of us have gotten together and started our own little “club” if you will called “Real Estate Gone Wild”… or RE Gone Wild for short. The idea behind this group is to make funny parody videos about real estate. We are all in the real estate busienss and love it. Most of the time we get together and talk about our day, make light of our challenges and support each other. Well… we all know that laughter can be the best medicine. And on that note, came the birth of RE Gone Wild.

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this video!!! My friends Waltzing For Debbie just put out their debut music video… and I have to say it ROCKS!! It literally just posted and I stopped what I was doing so I could write this post. THAT IS HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THESE GUYS! Bill (you know… Bill and Meghan Show Bill…) and I did a podcast with WFD a while back and we have been following their music since. I cannot say enough good stuff about their music and the band. So on that note… YOU MUST WATCH THIS VIDEO…. IT KICKS @$$!

As most of you know I am a mortgage advisor “by day”. A friend showed my this video last week… and at first I thought it was about vampires… so naturally I was overly excited. Nevertheless, while it was not about vampires pre se, I was not disappointed. I must give ♦kudos♦ to the creator of this HYSTERICAL video as I have watched it a few times and die laughing each time!!!

Texting while driving is illegal… I’m sure flipping while driving is too! I did not really edit this random little video much as you can see. I decided to shoot a little clip on my way down to a photo shoot with the one and only Jamie Truttman! YOU HAVE TO CHECK HER WEBSITE OUT! Jamie Brooke Photography = Heaven!!! SHE IS AN AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER! We had the best day ever and the pictures came out awesome. I have only seen a few so far… and as soon as I have more I will be posting them to my site… so stay tuned! In the mean time… enjoy my spastic random video and go become obsessed with Jamie… because I AM!!!
