You know I love me some video…. and yesterday I got to make a guest appearance on the very well know Think Big Work Small Daily Show with Brian Stevens. Yeah I know… I’m know officially a big deal. Frank was hobnobbing up in Seattle, WA so I had the privilege to walk in his shoes for a day. While in my dressing room I ordered 1,000 blue M&Ms, 18 cubes of frozen watermelon, a dancing monkey, 3 bag pipe players and 27 gnomes statues (all different). I really felt famous! Ok ok.. that was completely made up! Nevertheless, the experience was a lot of fun and if you don’t subscribe to the Daily Show already, you should.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO… BIG BIG BIG BIG NEWS!!! Brian, Frank, Shannon Hoff and myself have been working behind the scenes for the past few weeks on a new show coming out: Raz Room! It’s a fast paced show that will typically focus on one or two relevant topics in a round table fashion. Raz Room will have edge, humor, bite, reality… just about everything you can wrap your arms around we will discuss it! Be sure to like our fan page and subscribe to our show. If you don’t.. As most of you know I have what I call the “day job”. I have been working hard to blend the 2 more and more over the past 2 years. I have a lot of my friend on board making funny videos about the real estate and lending industry (which I personally think is HYSTERICAL). So much of why I do love my “day job” is really due to all of the people I get to interact with, the committee that I am part of and the industry that I truly love. To help support my industry I became a contributor to the Realtors Political Action Committee at the California Golden “R” (NAR “Sterling “R”) level. The cool thing is I have 2011 and 2012 NAR Sterling R pins and CA Golden R pins. I kind of feel like a big deal.

I spent the other weekend attending the El Dorado Community Vision Coalition Mardi Gras themed gala fundraiser for healthy, safe, drug-free youth. The party was held at the at Mercedes Benz of El Dorado Hills. Mark  S. Allen from Mark at the Movies was the MC and he was nothing short of pure entertainment! The evening included Cajun food, lots of dancing thanks to music from Gator Beat Band (a zydeco band) and an array of fun and fruity  libations like Hurricanes and Mai Tais. I cannot complain on the VIP treatment as we had our own reserved table as well thank you to Innerwork Mortgage!! As you can see from the pictures below, we had a pretty good time!

Being Responsible

My friend Carrie (as are many of my friends… I do pick some pretty kick ass friends) is pretty exceptional. As Dominic would say, “she’s America’s sweetheart”. She spends her time working for the nonprofit For One Another Foundation which focuses on providing clean drinking water and the education on how to live a healthier life to very  deserving people. They specialize in bring water filtration systems to orphanages, clinics, schools and small communities. I had the privilege to to create a video promote their upcoming project to Uganda, Africa. It was truly an honor to be a part of such a great cause. Be sure to check out their website and their Facebook page for more information on how you can get involved.

****Let me start off by saying:
- That we all take our jobs very seriously and love what we do. Now from time to time we like to poke fun at ourselves so take Real Estate Gone Wild videos with a grain of salt.

Months and months ago a friend said “Hey let’s see if we can get Josh Flagg to come speak to us.” No joke… that was just about what he said. I loved the idea as I am a huge fan of the show Million Dollar Listing on the Bravo Network. So fast forward a few months and with lots of planning from the YPN (Young Professionals Network) team we put on “The Josh Flagg Experience”. 

With over 250+ people, it was a packed house listening to the most enteraining Josh speak.

The evening before a few of us had a small dinner with Josh and Colton at La Provance in Roseville.

We had the whole private back room to ourselves and it really gave us a chance to get to know the two on a more personal level. I certainly say this is where my love for the boys turned into an obsession! I’ll admit that I told Colton I wanted to put him in my pocket and take him home with me.

Overall it was a great few days and we all had a blast with Josh and Colton. I think next time we will have to head down their direction for a visit!

So I was told about a month in advance by my dear friend Jen that I should plan on being ready to do “something” around 4 pm on the day of my birthday yet I was not told what something was. Keep in mind that my birthday is December 22 and it being so close to the holidays, any chance of planning a birthday party are out of the question. I had been telling everyone that we would plan something after the first of the year.

The 22nd of December arrives and I still have no idea what is in store for me. I go to work (dressed in relatively comfy clothes as I was told) and am greeted with an amazing assortment of balloons and a wonderful card from my AWESOME OFFICE! Great way to start the day. So fast forward now (as my day at work rocked) to 3:30. Jen arrives and makes me tie my scarf around my head so I cannot see and get in her car. I’M BLINDFOLDED?

This was not part of the plan but I am going along with it. I’m thinking we are going to get a massage.. maybe go on a hike and get dinner? I have no idea!!!

We drive around a bit and since I have no sense of direction with my eyes open I have no idea where we are going. The car stops and all I can smell is tamales. I instantly think we are at Denaios. I am not sure what we would be doing there but I was sure she has a plan. LOL. I hear rustling in the truck of her car and hope to god she is not going to put me in there. A few minutes go by and I am told I can get out. I get out of her car and realize I am at the Fountains in Roseville and in front of me is a HUGE white stretch hummer limo full of a bunch of my friends ready to go ICE SKATING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes… you read that right… ICE SKATING! As a kid I had the best ice skating birthday parties and it was time to do it up again.  I was completely shocked and surprised. I honestly had no idea. I wish I could even put to words how grateful I am for each and every one of my friends. I truly had the best night. Not only did we ice skate and eat pizza but we went on a Christmas light viewing adventure as well. It was a perfect birthday adventure and I am so thankful to have such loving people in my life!!

This time I was shooting a some pretty bad ass guns and my aim was much better. I got to shoot:

• Thompson Submachine Gun .45 Cal (this one was almost 100 years old… from WWII)
• Steyr Aug assault rifle (as seen in video)
• .40 Cal Smith & Wesson Handgun
• M16 rifle

I wanted to give a BIG BIG thank you to my amazing friend who took me out shooting. You seriously MADE MY DAY and I hope you know I will be bribing you to go again. SOOOOOOONNNNNN!

Sooo….. I think I am ready to try out for the next season of Top Shot.

Halloween is the time of year when pet owners tourture us. Thanks Mom… can you tell I’m loving this?

A few of you may know a group of us have gotten together and started our own little “club” if you will called “Real Estate Gone Wild”… or RE Gone Wild for short. The idea behind this group is to make funny parody videos about real estate. We are all in the real estate business and love it. Most of the time we get together and talk about our day, make light of our challenges and support each other. Well… we all know that laughter can be the best medicine. And on that note, came the birth of RE Gone Wild.
